What is SomaZone?
SomaZone is a substance known as a biopolymer. It is the result of years of research in transdermal delivery. In Entre Derm Skincare's Night and Day Creams, active ingredients such as collagen, are attached to the SomaZone molecule which enables the direct delivery of these ingredients through the surface of the skin.
SomaZone allows large molecules to squeeze through the outer layers of skin and be delivered to where they are vitally needed. Until now, substances with a high molecular weight such as collagen, could not be reliably delivered into the skin without a needle.
The technology behind SomaZone was developed from research into the transdermal delivery of insulin for diabetics. Our parent company, Transdermal Sciences PLC, holds a patent for this transdermal drug delivery system.
SomaZone is our patent-pending process that combines this biopolymer backbone with active ingredients. SomaZone's interdermal delivery of these ingredients, such as collagen, ceramides and hyaluronic acid, ushers in a future of increased effectiveness to the world of cosmetics.

How does SomaZone work?
To understand SomaZone, you first need to understand your skin. Our skin lets water out and keeps collagen in.
Like a net, the skin lets small molecules, like salts, out when you perspire. The skin allows the water out to keep us cool, but on the inside large molecules, too big to pass through the net, are kept where they belong.
Collagen is a large molecule, much bigger than water. If our skin simply allowed it to pass through, we would lose it in our infancy. Fortunately, our bodies are good at keeping things inside. This system works well to keep us protected from the elements. However, it presents great challenges when we try to replenish our body's supplies of larger molecules without a needle.
As we age, our natural levels of collagen drop, causing wrinkles in our skin. If we try to apply collagen by itself to the skin's surface, it is kept out by the same net that kept our youthful collagen in.
SomaZone is the key to getting through this barrier. SomaZone can actually squeeze through the tight space of your skin cells, bringing with it ingredients that could not get through by themselves. What makes SomaZone so unique is the weight of the ingredients it can bring directly through the skin's surface.
Are there two SomaZones?
The SomaZone process is extremely adaptable, allowing the penetration of heavier molecular weight ingredients than ever before. SomaZone's versatility also allows it to deliver many ingredients at once. In Entre Derm Night Cream and Entre Derm Day Cream the active ingredients include collagen, hyaluronic acid and ceramides.
Think of SomaZone as the messenger. In Entre Derm Night Cream, the message is collagen, as much as possible. In Entre Derm Day Cream, there is less collagen and the SomaZone molecule is tailored to bring deep moisturizing treatment into the skin. This adaptability is what makes Entre Derm Night and Day Creams so effective. They each can do their own job, thanks to the SomaZone process. The regimen was designed as a whole, and when used together delivers maximum benefits.
